Soup Kettles

There is nothing better than a hot bowl of soup on a cold winter’s day. The main piece of equipment that people use to keep the soup piping hot and to serve up without any mess is a soup kettle, which will hold soup at a warm temperature ready for serving all through the day. Other food that can be kept warm in soup kettles are chilli con carne, curry, porridge, baked beans, mushy peas, stews & mulled wine. The main reason the soup kettle can hold the soup in side for so long is thanks to its unique design. There is a water well inside which prevents the soup inside from drying out. Moisture is released due to the evaporation of the water inside the water well. All you have to do is keep an eye on the water well level and either keep topping it up for as long as you need the soup for or until you have sold out.

Most soup kettles hold from 5 to 10 litres and have built in thermostats and variable simmer stats that will keep your soup from getting too hot, boiling over, or not staying hot enough.

The temperature is also easily adjusted, on most soup kettles there is a temperature dial where the temperature of the soup or other food product can be adjusted to suit the temperature desired.

Soup kettles are traditionally designed in a classic cauldron shape, however there are more modern concepts out on the market today with high impact and colourful graphics.
